Tracking the calories - changing things dramatically! I lost four pounds this week (without being unhealthy). |

| Cute Daren Thing |
[Nov. 6th, 2008|07:28 am] |
|
On Sunday I stuck my finger in some carmel dip and let Daren have a taste. I once let him taste chocolate pudding, and he smacked his lips but that was it. This time he smacked his lips and smiles and cooed and wiggled and squealed. He REALLY liked carmel. |

George was surprised on all accounts.
He had absolutely no idea I was throwing him a huge surprise party tonight.
He had absolutely no idea that I was going to reveal to him tonight (via a slideshow of his whole life) that I am pregnant with our second child.
Man it feels good to not have to keep any more secrets! |

| Blizzard |
[Jan. 11th, 2007|12:02 am] |
I left within 20 minutes of the snow starting, and it took me three hours to get home. George left Seattle before the snow started and it took him five. I just took my tape measure outside and stuck it on the top of my garbage bin. EIGHT INCHES. And still coming down. Good grief!
Looks like I am going to miss work on my 4th day, so that is great. |

| New building |
[Jul. 24th, 2006|09:00 am] |
New office is nice. Only one outlet, which is sort of lame. Not quite as much desk space. But a real door! Right now they have not turned our AC on, so I am roasting because the sun shines right into my window. I am sweating! However, I actually have a window and can see the light of day, which is pretty cool.
Must work. |

| Conference |
[Mar. 31st, 2006|06:19 pm] |
Okay, last night at the conference. Going to the meet to eat thing, so hopefully that will be fun and I can spend my evening whooping it up with some cool HR peeps. It will either be that, or really lame and I'll be back in my room by 9 p.m. That's how my last couple of nights have gone, so I am hoping it is more on the whooping it up side. The conference has been good overall, but some of the sessions have been hit and miss. I particularly enjoyed Cokie Roberts, she rocked.
Tomorrow I get to go home and see my Donna and my George! Yay! |

| Leaving |
[Mar. 29th, 2006|05:38 am] |
Little kids are tricky. Today I got Donna ready for Daddy like I would on any other day, only this time, when it came time for them to leave, she screamed and clinged to me and just wouldn't let go. It's like she knew I was leaving today. |

| Donna |
[Mar. 27th, 2006|07:35 pm] |
We recently changed the location of the litter box to allow Donna more room to run. She came in the bathroom with me and I showed her the toilet flushing. She was so fascinated she immediately threw her comb in and watched it go straight down the toilet.
There was something else from yesterday that was super cute and I didn't want to forget it, but I already forgot, so I can't write about it so I won't forget it. Maybe I'll remember later. |

| Kitty |

Lex came to get her kitty last night, and I thought George might cry after they left. Maybe not cry, but he missed him a lot. And so did Sam. |

| Boo |
[Feb. 25th, 2006|08:06 am] |
|
Boo is a very cute kitty that is staying with us for a couple days before we have to give him up to Lex. He is very curious. He talks a lot. My mom hadn't started to litter train him yet, but he's already gone pee in the litter box we got for him at least once, so I think he's getting it. He likes to attack my toes. He likes to play with cords and wires. He's kind of an attention whore, but I'll forgive him since this has been his first night away from his mommy ever. Soon he will go to live with his NEW mommy and then he will be happy forever. |

| American Idol Predictions |
[Feb. 16th, 2006|08:20 am] |
Edited for thoroughness!
Winner: Chris (bald rocker kind of guy)
Other possible winner: Kellie (cute blond with no parents)
People I like:
Elliot (other bald guy, dorkier looking) David (crooner guy) Taylor (bluesy weird guy with gray hair) Ayla (long brown hair, just seems sincere and nice) The short black chick with the big voice
People I don't particularly like but are going to do well:
Ace (long hair, the new Constantine) Becky Heather
I told George it would be Chris last night, and the funny thing is that the morning DJ made his prediction today and also picked him. |

If you didn't know, I nominated my friend Mat for a drive by dating thing with 100.7 the Wolf. As we speak, Mat is standing outside the Mercer Street exit in Seattle with a number on him. Chicks will drive by and vote for their favorite guy. Call and vote for Mat! He's #2!!! 206-421-9653 |
